At the Olympic Park in the Velodrome, Event Merchandising designed, manufactured and sold a technical range of clothing to celebrate the best in Cycling. Event Merchandise also produced a stylish souvenir programme packed with information about the racing. In six evenings of action, riders once again competed in the classic six day disciplines such as the Madison, Derny race, elimination races and individual time trials, as well as the Longest Lap competition for the first time.
Six Brits rode in the men’s competition, including the pairing of Andy Tennant and Chris Latham and Ollie Wood and Jon Dibben. With the pairing of Madison world champions Cavendish and Wiggins as well.

Summer is always a manic time for us at EML. But the mayhem is all forgotten about with the help of music! It is always exciting to be part of some of the biggest music festivals in the UK, but sadly the festival season is drawing to it’s inevitable end, sad times 🙁
We have been front of house managers at some of this year’s top festivals, as part of our Event Live Sponsorship service. We provide promoters and venues a service which stretches across supplying food and beverage concessions, VIP enclosures, branded partnerships, sampling and experiential activations. So at some events we’ve had double the work, and fun of course, as front of house managers and officinal merchandisers. Let’s take a stroll down memory lane to recap on some of the highlights of our manic music event season.
Nile Rodgers Rocking Out
Fold Festival/Nocturne
June seems like many moons ago however, it was the beginning of the long and winding road for EML as our first stop was at Fulham Palace, London. AH FREAK OUT! We certainly did! Fold Festival was hosted by the superstar Nile Rodgers, the much loved and celebrated songwriter known for his work with his disco infused band Chic who played 3 nights in a row at this event! Mr Rodgers also hopped up on stage with other acts such as Alison Moyet and Beck.
On the same weekend, EML were merchandisers at Blenheim Palace for Nocturne Festival. Crowds were wowed with music from James Bond, conductor Ennio Morricone, The Corrs and the loveable soul Elton John wrapped things up for the final show. Luckily the rain wasn’t too bad, but heading into the next event, we had to put our wellies on.

This year saw Glastonbury at it’s muddiest and there was no denying that Britain encountered it’s wettest and muddiest Summer’s for years. But that didn’t wipe the smile from our faces as a week later, (there ain’t no rest for the wicked) saw EML take a trip to the stunning surroundings of Glynde Place near Brighton for Love Supreme. The festival hosts some of the most highly acclaimed jazz, blues and funk inspired acts from around the world. This year was no different, as the amazing and quirky Grace Jones took the stage Saturday night and the charming and talented singer songwriter Burt Bachurach on the Sunday. Since the birth of Love Supreme Festival, EML have supplied food concessions, sponsorship and merchandise so it has been amazing to have seen the festival grow year on year. We are already extremely excited for 2017 as the jazzed up beast looks to evolve into something even bigger. More news on that to follow.

Big Feastival

” I do like a bit of Gorgonzola,” An event inspired by great music and fantastic food it can only be Big Feastival. Held on the last bank holiday weekend in August, the feast is curated by TV chef Jamie Oliver and Blur Bassist Alex James where there is a whole lot of cheese, food and drink stalls, plus performances from some of pop music’s biggest acts, and cheese. EML were yet again asked to provide the official merchandise for the event and were part of creating the lanyard that attendees could receive when they purchased their ticket. It was another successful year for us at Alex James’ farm, but our trouser buttons were flying off by the end of the event from all the wensleydale cheese.

We decided we were getting a bit homesick, so we ventured back to London for OnBlackheath. All guns blazing, we decided to show what we are made off by not only supplying merch but also curating the highly acclaimed food village and brand activations. We thought the line up couldn’t get any better than last year but of course the promoter Harvey Goldsmith and his team knocked it out of the park again. This year’s headliners included Primal Scream, Belle & Sebastian, Hot Chip, James and Squeeze, to name a few! Boundary Brighton Festival
Finally we come to the end of what has one of Events most entertaining Summer’s in it’s existence. Lights out and glow sticks on, we had a right rave up at Boundary Brighton Festival. Well it wasn’t all play, we managed food concessions for the event too. The sun stayed shinning thankfully and was a great way to say adios to the festival season for another year.

It’s been a funny old Summer- England’s European Championship campaign ended in embarrassment and we’ve seen more rain than sun, but at least Murray won Wimbledon eh! But the negatives haven’t got to us, we have battled through the downpour and have seen a successful Summer so far, supplying merchandise across a range of events.
Formula E
First, we made a pit stop at Formula E in London. The fast paced environment was riveting to be part of, and it was a joy to see petrol-head fans buying our range of apparel and accessories for the event.
Farnborough Airshow
Event then flew over to sell merchandise at the Farnborough Airshow. The airshow is split into two events, the first 5 days of the event are regarded as ‘trade show.’ This year saw a remarkable deal secured by former Prime Minister David Cameron with Boeing, forming a new defence partnership . Following the news of a new defence deal the weekend came and the trade show evolved into the public show, where the public could attend the airshow and watch the impressive aeroplanes in full flight flying in formations, performing tricks and displaying stunning scenes in the sunny skies. America’s Cup
You may have seen this event on the news recently as it was the return of the America’s Cup. Thankfully the weather wasn’t as torturous as last time, the sun shone high in the Portsmouth sky and we can honestly say we have never seen crowds like it! Everything was smooth sailing for Event and it was amazing to be have been at the America’s Cup.
Summer has only just begun in our eyes, we still have a full calendar of events we are part of including Tough Mudder, The Big Feastival and we are proud to be the official merchandise for the YouTube sensation Dan TDM tour which is nearly sold out in all venues. 1 month on from the event hosted in Orlando, America, the Invictus Games are still on everyones lips. This is no surprise to us- the games have received growing support after it’s successful first year. An array of celebrities from diverse backgrounds are queueing up to show their
support including James Bond star Daniel Craig, former football manager Sir Alex Ferguson and Olympic Gold Medalist Victoria Pendleton.
The opening and closing ceremonies were spectacles to behold, matching up to the sheer greatness of the London 2012 ceremonies. Check out the video, it’s incredible!

It was a weekend to remember for Buemi and Event enjoyed success with our merchandise stand.
Sebastien Buemi bolted his way round the track on Sunday to win the Berlin ePrix. The win now means Buemi has closed the gap on Lucas Di Grassi’s championship run to just 1 point heading into the Formula E season finale.
It has been an exciting and eventful season, which has witnessed the sport take off into race car heaven, dominating headlines and seeing audience numbers grow immensely across each race. Event! have loved working with Formula-E and curating the sports merchandise. We are just as excited for the season finale in July!

Event Merchandising were in New York for the World Series Americas cup event. The sailing was spectacular. We had pop up container super stores and a fan store featuring all the teams. A very high quality range of merchandise was on sale, featuring technical waterproof jackets and high end fashionable gear. Our excellent team services the crowds throughout the weekend.
The sun was shining in St Tropez for the Harley Davidson Eurofest event where we were the official event merchandisers.
Harley Davidson Eurofest 2016
Engines were roaring as the Harley faithful gathered in St Tropez, France for the first Harley Davidson event of the year. Bikers were entertained for four days with live music, demo rides, customise bike shows, parades and enjoyed it all with stunning scenery and spectacular sunny weather. Our staff managed to soak up a bit of sun, some more burnt than others, but were to busy supplying merchandise to the huge hub of Harley riders.
Eurofest St Tropez, France
Event are the official event merchandisers for the Harley Davidson EMEA events for 2016, which means we will also be selling Harley merch at H.O.G Rally and European Bike Week. We are running the Harley Davidson official merchandise web shop for these string of events. We are supplying a spectrum of men’s, women’s and kids clothing and accessories specific to each event.
This weekend was the first Tough Mudder event of 2016 where we supplied over 100,000 performance finisher t-shirts.
Thousand upon thousand turned up to Henley on Thames to brave the brutal battle that is Tough Mudder. It is a sticky and tricky endurance test, putting competitors out of their comfort zone by completing a 10-12 mile muddy obstacle course.

Thankfully the weather was glorious (imagined if it rained). And although none of the Event team stepped up to the challenge of competing….we were on hand to provide over 100,000 performance finisher t-shirts. It was a mud-tastic day!
The next event is Tough Mudder Midlands Half on 14th May where ‘mudees,’ can expect to see us supplying finisher t-shirts and mudder merchandise. We also run the Tough Mudder web shop where competitors can now customise their own t-shirts, with a range of logos, designs and customise options. There’s the choice of designing a men’s and women’s 100% cotton t-shirt, or a performance t-shirt.
