It has been 21 years since the MOBO Awards hit our screens. Since then, more than 300 trophies have been awarded to British and international artist in the musical fields of Hip Hop, Grime, RnB/Soul, Reggae, Jazz, Gospel, and African music. This year’s star-studded MOBO Awards took place in Leeds on November 29, 2017. Home grown London artist Stormzy took home 3 awards: Best Album, Best Male Act and Best Grime Act.

For merchandise, the MOBOs needed statement products that really engaged their supporters. Working from the brief we developed a small range of clothing, paying particular attention to design and quality. We produced a hoodie and t-shirt with screen printed designs and a cap and a beanie with embroidery. A classic colour scheme of black, white and gold was used. This made the merchandise stand out and reflected their brand identity. With the MOBOs being a 90’s baby, we incorporated ‘96’ onto the designs to symbolize its heritage.

Our merch obtained a space in the closets of EastEnders actor Richard Blackwood, ‘Be Faithful’ hype man Fatman Scoop, and ‘Paving the Way’ award winner Idris Elba.
