Event Merchandising Celebrates 35 Glorious Years

Event Merchandising Ltd hits a milestone on Wednesday 1st March with its 35th anniversary. Founder chairman, Martin Goldsmith, is proud to have seen the company grow from strength to strength over the last 35 years.

Starting out as a freelancer in the world of retail and exhibition displays, Martin saw an opportunity to start up his own business in branded concert merchandise in the UK, in conjunction with his brother Harvey Goldsmith– well known promoter in the music industry.

Martin Goldsmith, Founder Chairman of EML: “I approached Cliff Richard whose words still ring in my ears- ‘Who in the hell wants to buy a T-Shirt with my face on it?’ 40 years later the fans are still buying his swag.”

One of Martin’s greatest days was trading at Wembley Stadium- World Wrestling Federation Summer Slam 1992 (professional wrestling), selling an impressive ÂŁ1m+. His most pleasurable times have been working with Pavarotti and Live Aid amongst a whole host of renowned artist and events.

Martin has taken a step back from the fast paced merchandise industry, enjoying life loving tennis and jazz (and keeping the office tidy!), whilst the company continues to grow in the hands of his son’s Jeremy and Paul, with the support from a fantastic and loyal team of course!

From past legends such as Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Three Tenors, Stars of Classical Music and National Theatre, EML continues to keep legendary status by working with the present- Harley Davidson, Formula E and Tough Mudder to name a few.

Rugby World Cup 2015

For the Rugby World Cup 2015, Event Merchandising is proud to look after on site vending at various stadiums and fanzones.

Given the wide-reaching appeal of the Rugby World Cup, there is a wide array of products ranging from a fantastic range of apparel , to high end luxury sterling silver gifts such as cufflinks through to bags, flasks, ties, watches, flags, pin badges and key rings. Enabling fans of all ages and brands to really connect with this memorable tournament.

Event is running pop up shops, kiosks and stands across the country.

Event! Merchandising has over 30 years of experience and has provided bespoke merchandise and retail experiences at world class events including The Brit Awards, the Americas Cup, Formula E, Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and Tough Mudder as well as working with brands such as Disney and Gucci.

The London-based company was the official licensee and event retailer for the London 2012 Olympic Games, having designed the product range, supplied the staff, ran the epos and sold the products. Event! Merchandising is also official manufacturer and retailer for the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games
