Event Merchandising was ready for the return of the UK’s largest light festival – Lumiere London 2018 – having worked on a range of glow in the dark products.

More than 50 artworks reimagined London’s architecture and streets, transforming the city into a dazzling nocturnal art exhibition from January 18-21.

Event Merchandising – in partnership with Artichoke and Visit London – has produced a range of glow in the dark souvenir products including a guide book with a fold out map.

Various other stockists also include Heals, the My Hotel chain, as well as the National Theatre. The online shop is also promoted via the Visit London Lumiere website where you can download the map and donate to support the festival.

Jeremy Goldsmith, md of Event Merchandising, said: “We are thrilled to be involved in the largest art festival in the UK this year.

“It has been a monumental task to put together the programme for this event, as well as the complicated logistics of vending at multiple sites across London. The experience gained from working on the Olympics and Jubilee has been invaluable and this is set to be a wonderful event for everyone.”

In 2016, 1.3 million visitors made their way around the city to see the inaugural Lumiere London.

Festival Season is Over… For Now

Here marks the end of the festival season *everybody deep sighs*. Thousands of festival goers and the Event  crew cannot wait for its return next year. Until then, let’s recap on the last two festivals we worked on.

Sundown Festival had a jam packed lineup across the weekend. Event sold merchandise for some of the headline acts including You Me at Six, Rag n Bone Man, Craig David, and Pendulum. At Reload Festival, Billy Ocean, Odyssey, Soul 2 Soul and more kept visitors stepping to the beat in Northwick.

More than 10,000 people danced, ate and enjoyed rides at Northfolk Showground during the first two weeks of September. Many guests showed their love for these events by sporting in-demand merchandise supplied by Event. This gave visitors prized memorabilia to remember these great festivals by until they return.

We produced a festival lanyard to keep customers informed of stage times. We didn’t get the warm September we were promised, so hoodies were on sale alongside t-shirts and bags. Check out the staff repping our t-shirts and accessories.

Sundown Festival and Reload Festival return in 2018 with a party starting lineup already secured! So until then 🙂

Culture Vulture’s Still Flying Over The City Of Hull

Hull City Merchandise Shop

Hull City Merchandise Shop

Since Hull was voted the city of Culture for 2017 there has been events around the city such as gigs in local venues, literature festivals and art exhibitions. Event felt the love for this resurgence and so it was decided that Event would join forces with Hull 2017 to produce the official merchandise for Hull, The UK City of Culture.

Our first step was producing a core range of apparel and accessories. We also went onto to open a dedicated merchandise shop in House of Fraser, the main shopping complex.

Since the merchandise has been available, the culture vultures have come in and swept it up. There has been a real patriotic response with customers, proudly wearing their Hull garments.

This has led to Event recently expanding the range to include additional apparel, aprons, postcards, ceramics, tea towels, and bouncy balls.

Next thing you know, commuters were seeing billboards of our merchandise advertised en route to work!

On Wednesday, we received a visit from Sarah McDonald (1,500m) and Aly Dixon (marathon). They chatted, took pictures, and signed autographs for the fans.

The shop greeted some passionate fans. Most were on their way to the stadium, to shout and cheer (and possibly bump into Usain Bolt). Some were retiring to their sofa, securing a clear view of all the action. Either way, these customers made sure to #REPRESENT the British Athletics team, at the IAAF Word Championship, in London 2017.
