Our team were delighted to attend the annual BPMA awards to celebrate the success of the great companies within our industry and we are proud to announce that Event Merchandising brought home the award for ‘Distributor Marketing Campaign of the Year 2020’. A special thanks goes to the BPMA for this classification and to our hard-working employees who helped make this possible.
It’s been a funny old Summer- England’s European Championship campaign ended in embarrassment and we’ve seen more rain than sun, but at least Murray won Wimbledon eh! But the negatives haven’t got to us, we have battled through the downpour and have seen a successful Summer so far, supplying merchandise across a range of events.
Formula E
First, we made a pit stop at Formula E in London. The fast paced environment was riveting to be part of, and it was a joy to see petrol-head fans buying our range of apparel and accessories for the event.
Farnborough Airshow
Event then flew over to sell merchandise at the Farnborough Airshow. The airshow is split into two events, the first 5 days of the event are regarded as ‘trade show.’ This year saw a remarkable deal secured by former Prime Minister David Cameron with Boeing, forming a new defence partnership . Following the news of a new defence deal the weekend came and the trade show evolved into the public show, where the public could attend the airshow and watch the impressive aeroplanes in full flight flying in formations, performing tricks and displaying stunning scenes in the sunny skies. America’s Cup
You may have seen this event on the news recently as it was the return of the America’s Cup. Thankfully the weather wasn’t as torturous as last time, the sun shone high in the Portsmouth sky and we can honestly say we have never seen crowds like it! Everything was smooth sailing for Event and it was amazing to be have been at the America’s Cup.
Summer has only just begun in our eyes, we still have a full calendar of events we are part of including Tough Mudder, The Big Feastival and we are proud to be the official merchandise for the YouTube sensation Dan TDM tour which is nearly sold out in all venues. Plus we are supplying merchandise at the Olympic Park Fanzone for the duration of the Rio Olympic Games , come on Great Britain! Come down and show your support! 1 month on from the event hosted in Orlando, America, the Invictus Games are still on everyones lips. This is no surprise to us- the games have received growing support after it’s successful first year. An array of celebrities from diverse backgrounds are queueing up to show their
support including James Bond star Daniel Craig, former football manager Sir Alex Ferguson and Olympic Gold Medalist Victoria Pendleton.
The opening and closing ceremonies were spectacles to behold, matching up to the sheer greatness of the London 2012 ceremonies. Check out the video, it’s incredible!

Invictus Games Wounded Warriors T-Shirt
Sebastien Buemi bolted his way round the track on Sunday to win the Berlin ePrix. The win now means Buemi has closed the gap on Lucas Di Grassi’s championship run to just 1 point heading into the Formula E season finale.
It has been an exciting and eventful season, which has witnessed the sport take off into race car heaven, dominating headlines and seeing audience numbers grow immensely across each race. Event! have loved working with Formula-E and curating the sports merchandise. We are just as excited for the season finale in July!

Event Merchandising were in New York for the World Series Americas cup event. The sailing was spectacular. We had pop up container super stores and a fan store featuring all the teams. A very high quality range of merchandise was on sale, featuring technical waterproof jackets and high end fashionable gear. Our excellent team services the crowds throughout the weekend.

BBC Radio 2 were discussing the importance of the Invictus Games Foundation, which we are the proud suppliers of games merchandise.
Radio presenter Chris Evans was joined in the studio by athlete and Invictus star David Wiseman, who was speaking about the upcoming Invictus Games in Orlando on the 8th May. David won two gold and two silver medals during the 2014 Games and he was telling listeners how the event was something for everyone.
The Games are now into their second year, and without doubt the event is truly a rousing, inspirational and triumphant event. The aim is to reach out to ex-servicemen and women and engage them to participate in the Games, watched by thousands of spectators.
David was also joined by a familiar face who greeted Chris Evans with ‘morning ginge.’ Listen to what the two guests had to say about the fantastic sporting event.

This Easter weekend will witness the annual Oxford vs Cambridge Boat Race and so we are giving you all the information you need to know for this momentous event.
The Cancer Research UK Boat Race Programme
Oxford and Cambridge will be battling it out on the River Thames this Sunday for the 162nd Cancer Research Boat Races. Ladies will compete first, followed by the men’s for what is always an ore-some race. Last year the Oxford wave came crashing down on their rivals, sealing victories in both races, but will they triumph again this time round? Who knows. But Event have everything you need to know to talk the lingo when watching the event.

What a fantastic month of sport it has been and Event have been at the heart of it all.
Event have yet again been at the forefront of sports merchandising and have been involved in some fantastic sporting moments this year. Where to begin…

Lets reverse back to the first weekend in February where Event were zooming round Buenos Aires in Argentina, South America, for Formula-E. Then the next day we flew all the way back to London, got a quick train to the trendy Camden town to sell some merch for the 2016 Super bowl. It was kinda a good excuse to watch and cheer on too…
Then we had two amazing weekends with the British Athletics in Glasgow and Sheffield, selling a range of products for the fans.

Now we are in March, (already?!) and we have already witnessed success at UCI 2016 World Track Championship. We would like to congratulate Laura Trott who produced a thrilling win in the women’s surge race at the roaring velodrome. We still have a weekend of breathtaking cycling to come with the likes of Sir Bradley Wiggins still to feature- we have named our teddy bear after the Olympic and Tour De France champ. One member of the Royal Family was pulling of heroics at the Invictus Games in Bath in a snazzy jacket.
Last weekend was the team trials for the Invictus Games in Bath. With a wintery chill in the air, what better way to keep yourself warm than with one of our Invictus Games jackets. That is exactly what Prince Harry did!

The Royal Prince was spotted wearing our jacket, supporting the try outs. Harry even became the hero of the day when he was first at hand to help a competitor in a wheelchair who had fallen over.
